Gear Review: Nobis The Justice Jacket

Justice-tanFor anyone who had Nobis pinned as an outdoor sporting apparel company, you’re in for a treat. Turns out Nobis’ talents extend beyond technical gear and seamlessly transition into the fashion world.

From a wide variety of accessories, headwear and tees, there’s a whole mess of options that speak true to Nobis’ contemporary style. In this particular instance, I’m referring to The Justice, a flawless spin on the classic trench.

This three-quarter length overcoat is made with durable, yet lightweight material. It will certainly do the job cutting wind and protecting from rain while maintaining total breathability. It can be worn year-around as a layering piece or the final touch during warmer months.

I found this piece to run true-to-size, especially with its fabric waist-belt to cinch to your liking. As with all Nobis pieces, this jacket rocks the classic logo proudly across the shoulder.

02Some features you’ll find unique to The Justice are a wire framing through the collar. Pop it up or lay it flat, it can be molded however suites your mood. In ode to Nobis’ edgy character, the jacket also rocks a gunflap across the shoulder blades.  All of the pockets and interior lining are mesh to maintain the lightweight feel.

As for colors, The Justice comes in Light Gray, Tan and Navy. I tried the navy and found the color to be an incredibly rich, elegant tone. From the looks of the catalogue, the gray and tan appear to have a muted sensation to them, which is unlike others I’ve seen. Nobis is anything but a copycat and this design serves as the perfect example.

I’d happily recommend this trench to anyone looking for an exciting spin on a classic piece. It’s been a staple in my wardrobe yet looks brand new even after being tested by the elements. Another two thumbs way up for Nobis.
